Privacy And Security

Aviation.Bot is local-first: the workflow starts with files on your machine or in a folder you choose. That does not automatically mean every operation is offline. The privacy boundary depends on your model provider, enabled tools, and workspace configuration.

Local-First Does Not Mean Cloud-Free

Aviation.Bot can work with different AI providers. If you connect an online API provider or a cloud-hosted model, relevant content may be sent to that provider as part of the request.

Before using sensitive documents:

  • confirm which AI provider is enabled
  • understand whether document content leaves your machine
  • avoid indexing folders that are broader than necessary
  • test with non-sensitive sample documents first

Use Focused Workspaces

Do not point Aviation.Bot at your whole computer. Use a workspace folder created for the job at hand:

  • one project
  • one document set
  • one customer-safe sample
  • one regulated workflow test corpus

Focused workspaces reduce noise, lower accidental exposure risk, and make results easier to review.

Review Tool Actions

AI-assisted document work should stay reviewable. Check proposed actions before approval, especially when a workflow may write files, run commands, convert documents, or use external tools.

Compliance Claims

Aviation.Bot can support sensitive and regulated document workflows, but it does not automatically make a workflow compliant. Treat it as a workspace and review tool. Your organization remains responsible for data handling policies, provider approval, audit requirements, and final document decisions.
