ED Decision 2022/021/R

SAFETY POLICY

The safety policy is the means for the organisation to state its intention to maintain and, where practicable, to improve the safety levels of all its activities, and to minimise its contribution to the risk of an aircraft accident or serious incident occurring, as far as reasonably practicable. The safety policy reflects the management’s commitment to safety and the organisation’s philosophy of safety management. It is the foundation on which the organisation’s management system is built and serves as a reminder of ā€˜how we do business here’. The creation of a positive safety culture begins with issuing a clear, unequivocal policy statement.

The commitment to apply ā€˜just culture’ principles forms the basis for the organisation’s internal rules that describe how ā€˜just culture’ principles are guaranteed and implemented.

Regulation (EU)Ā NoĀ 376/2014 defines the ā€˜just culture’ principles to be applied (refer, in particular, to ArticleĀ 16(11) of that Regulation).
