GM1 21.A.139(c)(1) Production management system ED Decision 2022/021/R SAFETY POLICY The safety policy is the means for the organisation to state its intention to maintain and, where practicable, to improve the safety levels of all its activities, and to minimise its contribution to the risk of an aircraft accident or serious incident occurring, as far as reasonably practicable. The safety policy reflects the managementās commitment to safety and the organisationās philosophy of safety management. It is the foundation on which the organisationās management system is built and serves as a reminder of āhow we do business hereā. The creation of a positive safety culture begins with issuing a clear, unequivocal policy statement. The commitment to apply ājust cultureā principles forms the basis for the organisationās internal rules that describe how ājust cultureā principles are guaranteed and implemented. [Regulation (EU)Ā NoĀ 376/2014](https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32014R0376) defines the ājust cultureā principles to be applied (refer, in particular, to ArticleĀ 16(11) of that Regulation).
