CS 25.1397 Colour specifications

ED Decision 2003/2/RM

Each position light colour must have the applicable International Commission on Illumination chromaticity co-ordinates as follows:

(a) Ā Ā Ā Ā  Aviation red –

ā€˜y’ is not greater than 0Ā·335; and

ā€˜z’ is not greater than 0Ā·002.

(b)Ā Ā Ā Ā  Aviation green –

ā€˜x’ is not greater than 0Ā·440–0Ā·320y;

ā€˜x’ is not greater than y–0Ā·170; and

ā€˜y’ is not less than 0Ā·390–0Ā·170x.

(c)Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Aviation white –

ā€˜x’ is not less than 0Ā·300 and not greater than 0Ā·540;

ā€˜y’ is not less than ā€˜x–0Ā·040’ or ā€˜yo–0Ā·010’, whichever is the smaller; and

ā€˜y’ is not greater than ā€˜x+0Ā·020’ nor ā€˜0Ā·636–0Ā·400x’; Where ā€˜yo’ is the ā€˜y’ co-ordinate of the Planckian radiator for the value of ā€˜x’ considered.
