AMC M.A.706(a) Personnel requirements ED Decision 2015/029/R Accountable manager is normally intended to mean the chief executive officer of the CAMO, who by virtue of position has overall (including in particular financial) responsibility for running the organisation. The accountable manager may be the accountable manager for more than one organisation and is not required to be knowledgeable on technical matters. When the accountable manager is not the chief executive officer, the competent authority will need to be assured that such an accountable manager has direct access to the chief executive officer and has a sufficiency of continuing airworthiness funding allocation.
