CS-VLA 659 Mass balance ED Decision 2003/18/RM The supporting structure and the attachment of concentrated mass balance weights used on control surfaces must be designed for limit loads corresponding to - (a) 24 g normal to the plane of the control surface; (b) 12 g fore and aft; and (c) 12 g parallel to the hinge line.
