CS-VLA 75 Landing ED Decision 2003/18/RM The horizontal distance necessary to land and come to a complete stop (or to a speed of approximately 5,6 km/h (3 knots) for water landings of seaplanes and amphibians) from a point 15 m above the landing surface must be determined as follows: (a) A steady gliding approach with a calibrated airspeed of at least 1.3 VS1 must be maintained down to the 15 m height. (b) The landing must be made without excessive vertical acceleration or tendency to bounce, nose over, ground loop, porpoise, or water loop. (c) It must be shown that a safe transition to the balked landing conditions of [CS-VLA 77](#_DxCrossRefBm584936630) can be made from the conditions that exist at the 15 m height.
