CSÂ 23.2510 Equipment, systems, and installations ED Decision 2017/013/R (a)Â Â Â Â The equipment and systems identified in [CSÂ 23.2500](#_DxCrossRefBm1265640906), considered separately and in relation to other systems, must be designed and installed such that: (1)Â Â Â Â each catastrophic failure condition is extremely improbable; and (2)Â Â Â Â each hazardous failure condition is extremely remote; and (3)Â Â Â Â each major failure condition is remote. (b)Â Â Â Â The operation of equipment and systems not covered by [CSÂ 23.2500](#_DxCrossRefBm1265640906) does not cause a hazard to the aeroplane or its occupants throughout the operating and environmental limits for which the aeroplane is certified.
