BOP.BAS.315 Flight and navigational instruments and equipment Regulation (EU) 2018/395 Balloons operated under VFR by day shall be equipped with both of the following: (a) a means of displaying drift direction; (b) a means of measuring and displaying: (1) time in hours, minutes and seconds; (2) vertical speed, if required by the AFM; and (3) pressure altitude, if required by the AFM, when required by airspace requirements or when the altitude needs to be known for the use of oxygen.
