CS 29.1145 Ignition switches ED Decision 2003/16/RM (a) Ignition switches must control each ignition circuit on each engine. (b) There must be means to quickly shut off all ignition by the grouping of switches or by a master ignition control. (c) Each group of ignition switches, except ignition switches for turbine engines for which continuous ignition is not required, and each master ignition control, must have a means to prevent its inadvertent operation.
CS 29.1145 Ignition switches ED Decision 2023/001/R (a) For each engine, means must be provided in the cockpit so as to: (1) control, either directly by the crew or by the crew via a system (such as the FADEC), each ignition circuit; (2) readily allow the crew to conduct the flight and manage both ground start and in-flight restart; (3) check the health condition of each ignition circuit; and (4) maintain an isolation between each engine control. (b) There must be means to quickly shut off all ignition by the grouping of switches or by a master ignition control. (c) Each group of ignition switches, except ignition switches for turbine engines for which continuous ignition is not required, and each master ignition control, must have a means to prevent its inadvertent operation.
