CS 22.613 Material strength properties and design values ED Decision 2003/13/RM (a) Material strength properties must be based on enough tests to establish design values on a statistical basis. (b) The design values must be chosen so that the probability of any structure being understrength because of material variations is extremely remote. (See [AMC 22.613(b)](#_DxCrossRefBm2056272195)) (c) Where the temperature attained in an essential component or structure in normal operating conditions has a significant effect on strength, that effect must be taken into account.
