CS 22.995 Fuel valves and controls ED Decision 2003/13/RM (a) There must be a means to allow the pilot to shut off rapidly in flight the fuel to the engine. (b) No shut-off valve may be on the engine side of any firewall. (c) The portion of the line between the fuel cock and the carburettor must be as short as possible. (d) Each fuel tank selector must – (1) Require a separate and distinct action to place the selector in the „OFF“ position; and (2) Have the tank selector positions located in such a manner that it is impossible for the selector to pass through the „OFF“ position when changing from one tank to another.
