AMC1 31TGB.51 Rapid deflation means ED Decision 2013/011/R Rapid deflation means are used to deflate the envelope in cases like e.g. when: - wind speeds increase above the wind speed limitations for low mooring; - required during inflation before attachment of the tether cable; or - included in emergency procedures for unintended free flight. Note: The rapid deflation means for low mooring acts automatically when the balloon is not being monitored by an operator.
