##### GM2 UAM.IDE.MVCA.311 Survival equipment *ED Decision 2025/010/R* **AREAS WHERE SEARCH AND RESCUE WOULD BE PARTICULARLY DIFFICULT** The phrase ‘areas in which search and rescue would be particularly difficult’ means: (a) areas so designated by the authority responsible for managing search and rescue; or (b) areas that are largely uninhabited and where: (1) the authority referred to in point (a) has not published any information to confirm whether search and rescue would or would not be particularly difficult; and (2) the authority referred to in point (a) does not, as a matter of policy, designate areas as being particularly difficult for search and rescue.
