CS ADR-DSN.M.705 Stopway lights ED Decision 2021/004/R (a) Applicability: Stopway lights should be provided for a stopway intended for use at night, or in runway visual range conditions less than a value of 800 m. (b) Location: (1) Stopway lights should be placed along the full length of the stopway and should be in two parallel rows that are equidistant from the centre line and coincident with the rows of the runway edge lights. The spacing between the lights should be in accordance with [CS ADR-DSN.M.675(b)(4)](#_DxCrossRefBm1800047744). Stopway lights placed along the edge of the stopway should consist of at least one pair of lights. (2) At least four uni-directional stopway lights equally spaced across the width of the stopway should be provided across the end of a stopway on a line at right angles to the stopway axis as near to the end of the stopway as possible and, in any case, not more than 3 m outside the end. (c) Characteristics: (1) Stopway lights should be fixed unidirectional lights showing red in the direction of the runway. (2) Stopway lights chromaticity should be in accordance with the specifications in [CS ADR-DSN.U.930](#_DxCrossRefBm1800047721) and Figure U-1A or U-1B, as appropriate.
