UAM.OP.VCA.255 Ice and other contaminants – flight procedures Regulation (EU) 2024/1111 (a) The IAM operator shall establish procedures for flights in expected or actual icing conditions. (b) The PIC shall commence the flight or intentionally fly into expected or actual icing conditions only if the VCA is certified and equipped to operate in such conditions. (c) If actual icing exceeds the intensity of icing for which the aircraft is certified, or if an aircraft not certified for flight in known icing conditions encounters icing, the PIC shall exit the icing conditions without delay and, if necessary, declare an emergency to ATS. *[applicable from 1 May 2025 — Regulation (EU) 2024/1111]*
