CS ADR-DSN.B.030 Runway threshold ED Decision 2014/013/R (a) A threshold should be provided on a runway. (b) A threshold needs not to be provided on a take-off runway. (c) A threshold should be located at the extremity of a runway unless operational considerations justify the choice of another location. (d) When it is necessary to displace a threshold, either permanently or temporarily, from its normal location, account should be taken of the various factors which may have a bearing on the location of the threshold. (e) When the threshold is displaced, the threshold location should be measured at the inner edge of the threshold marking (the transverse stripe across the runway).
