GM1 ADR.OR.F.055 Safety reporting system ED Decision 2020/021/R THE NEED FOR SAFETY REPORTING (a) The overall objective of the safety reporting system is to use reported information to improve the safety performance of the organisation, and not to attribute blame to individuals. (b) The specific objectives of the safety reporting system are to: (1) enable an assessment to be made of the safety implications of each relevant occurrence, serious incident and accident, including similar past events, so that any necessary action can be initiated; and (2) ensure that knowledge about such relevant occurrences, serious incidents and accidents is disseminated so that other persons and organisations may learn from them.
