ATS.OR.420 Aeronautical mobile service (air-ground communications) – approach control service Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/469 (a)      An air traffic services provider shall ensure that air-ground communication facilities enable direct, rapid, continuous and static-free two-way communications to take place between the unit providing approach control service and appropriately equipped aircraft under its control. (b)      Where the unit providing approach control service functions as a separate unit, air-ground communications shall be conducted over communication channels provided for its exclusive use.
