AMC1 SECTION VI ED Decision 2020/008/R IDENTIFICATION OF PROHIBITED, RESTRICTED AND DANGER AREAS (a) The identification should be used to identify the area in all subsequent notifications pertaining to that area. (b) The identification should be composed of a group of letters and figures as follows: (1) nationality letters for location indicators assigned to the State or territory which has established the airspace; (2) the letter ‘P’ for prohibited area, the letter ‘R’ for restricted area, and the letter ‘D’ for danger area as appropriate; (3) a number, unduplicated within the State or territory concerned. (c) To avoid confusion, identification numbers should not be reused for a period of at least 1 year after cancellation of the area to which they refer.
