AFIS units should, to the extent practicable, advise aircraft of the expected occurrence of hazards caused by turbulent wake. Such information will be provided by the warning ‘caution wake turbulence’ and may also include relevant information on the aircraft concerned. (b) In providing information, AFIS units should take into account the hazards caused by jet blast, helicopter downwash turbulence and propeller slipstream to taxiing aircraft, to aircraft taking off or landing, particularly when intersecting runways are being used, and to vehicles and personnel operating on the aerodrome.
