GM1 ATS.TR.235(a)(5) ATC clearances ED Decision 2020/008/R ASSURANCE OF OBSTACLE CLEARANCE IN VECTORING (a) Prescribed obstacle clearance will exist at all times when an air traffic controller issues clearances at or above the established minimum flight altitudes. (b) When an IFR flight is being vectored, the pilot may be unable to determine the aircraft’s exact position in respect of obstacles in this area and consequently the altitude which provides the required obstacle clearance.
