GM2 ATS.TR.155(c)(7) ATS surveillance services ED Decision 2020/008/R SEPARATION APPLICATION IN CASE OF ATS SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM FAILURE As an emergency measure, in the event of complete failure of the ATS surveillance system, where air-ground communications remain, the use of flight levels spaced by half the applicable vertical separation minimum may be resorted to temporarily if standard procedural separation cannot be provided immediately.
