MED.D.015 Requirements for the extension of privileges Regulation (EU) 2019/27 Applicants shall be issued an AME certificate extending their privileges to the revalidation and renewal of class 1 medical certificates where they meet all of the following conditions: (a) they hold a valid AME certificate; (b) they conducted at least 30 examinations for the issue, revalidation or renewal of class 2 medical certificates or equivalent over a period of no more than 3 years preceding the application; (c) they successfully completed an advanced training course in aviation medicine, including practical training in the examination methods and aero-medical assessments; (d) they have successfully completed practical training of a duration of at least 2 days, either at an AeMC or under the supervision of the competent authority.
