MED.D.010 Requirements for the issue of an AME certificate Regulation (EU) 2019/27 Applicants shall be issued an AME certificate, where they meet all of the following conditions: (a) they are fully qualified and licensed for the practice of medicine and have evidence of completion of specialist medical training; (b) they have successfully completed a basic training course in aviation medicine, including practical training in the examination methods and aero-medical assessments; (c) they have demonstrated to the competent authority that they: (1) have adequate facilities, procedures, documentation and functioning equipment suitable for aero-medical examinations; (2) have in place the necessary procedures and conditions to ensure medical confidentiality.
