FCL.930.IRI IRI – Training course Regulation (EU) 2019/1747 (a) The training course for the IRI shall include, at least: (1) 25 hours of teaching and learning instruction; (2) 10 hours of technical training, including revision of instrument theoretical knowledge, the preparation of lesson plans and the development of classroom instructional skills; (3) (i) for the IRI(A), at least 10 hours of flight instruction on an aeroplane, FFS, FTD 2/3 or FPNT II. In the case of applicants holding an FI(A) certificate, these hours are reduced to 5; (ii) for the IRI(H), at least 10 hours of flight instruction on a helicopter, FFS, FTD 2/3 or FNPT II/III. In the case of applicants holding an FI(H) certificate, those hours are reduced to at least 5; (iii) for the IRI(As), at least 10 hours of flight instruction on an airship, FFS, FTD 2/3 or FNPT II. (b) Flight instruction shall be given by an FI qualified in accordance with [FCL.905.FI(i)](#_DxCrossRefBm1199963569). (c) Applicants holding or having held an instructor certificate shall be fully credited towards the requirement of (a)(1).
