CS 25.603 Materials ED Decision 2021/015/R (See [AMC 25.603](#_DxCrossRefBm1709821063); for composite materials, see AMC 20-29; for use of glass in passenger cabins, see [AMC No 2 to CS 25.603(a)](#_DxCrossRefBm1709821062)) The suitability and durability of materials used for parts, the failure of which could adversely affect safety, must: (a) be established on the basis of experience or tests; (see [AMC No°1 to CS 25.603(a)](#_DxCrossRefBm1709821061)); (b) conform to approved specifications that ensure their having the strength and other properties assumed in the design data (see [AMC 25.603(b)](#_DxCrossRefBm1709821060)); and (c) take into account the effects of environmental conditions, e.g. temperature and humidity, expected in service.
