This AMC provides further guidance and acceptable means of compliance
to supplement FAA AC 27-1B Change 7 AC 27.865B § 27.865 EXTERNAL LOADS to meet
EASA’s interpretation of CS
27.865. As such, it should be used in conjunction with the FAA AC but should
take precedence over it, where stipulated, in the showing of compliance.
AMC No 1
addresses certification for applications that require the use of
Category A rotorcraft.
AMC No 2
addresses the specificities of complex personnel-carrying device systems for
human external cargo applications. This AMC provides further guidance and
acceptable means of compliance to supplement FAA AC 27-1B Change 7 AC 27.865B
§ 27.865 (Amendment 27-36) EXTERNAL LOADS to meet EASA’s interpretation of CS 27.865.
AMC No 3
contains a recognised approach to the approval of simple personnel-carrying
device systems if required by the applicable operating rule or if an applicant
elects to include simple personnel-carrying device systems within the scope of
type certification.
