and groups of balloons
Regulation (EU) 2020/357
For the
purpose of this Annex, balloons shall be categorised in the following classes
and groups:
(a)     “hot-air balloon” class:
(1) Â Â Â Â group A: envelope capacity up to
3Â 400 m3 (120Â 069 ft3);
(2) Â Â Â Â group B: envelope capacity between
3Â 401 m3 (120Â 070 ft3) and 6Â 000 m3
(211Â 888 ft3);
(3) Â Â Â Â group C: envelope capacity between
6Â 001 m3 (211Â 889 ft3) and 10Â 500 m3
(370Â 804 ft3);
(4) Â Â Â Â group D: envelope capacity of more than
10Â 500 m3 (370Â 804 ft3);
(b)    “gas balloon” class;
(c)     “mixed balloon” class;
(d)    “hot-air airship” class.
