GENERAL
Senior management should appoint a member
of the service provider’s management who, irrespective of other
responsibilities, should have responsibility and authority that includes:
(a)Â Â Â Â ensuring
that processes needed for the management system are established, implemented
and maintained;
(b)Â Â Â Â reporting
to senior management on the performance of the management system and any need
for improvement; and
(c)Â Â Â Â Â ensuring
the promotion of awareness of performance and service requirements throughout
the service provider and of the impact it has on safety.
