GM10 SPA.LVO.110 Aerodrome-related
requirements, including instrument flight procedures
ED
Decision 2022/012/R
An AIP should be the primary means to collect
the necessary data to perform the assessment of aerodromes for the intended
operation. However, sometimes the relevant data may not be available. In that
case, AMC4 SPA.LVO.110 establishes that the operator should develop procedures to collect or
develop the necessary data.
In this context, the operator may use surveys
and/or collected data from aeroplane sensors or data recorders. This method
could be typically used to determine the pre-threshold terrain profile and
partially the LSAA if not published by a State authority.
These options should be part of the LVO
approval and could include, among others:
(a) data
from appropriate sensors (e.g. radio altimeter, GNSS position, LOC/GS
deviations);
(b) data
collected from appropriate sensors stored in recorders;
(c) FDM
data, if appropriate.
Sensors and data accuracy, including recorded
sampling rate, should be considered in the usage of the collected data.
When defined in the approval, the respective
data might be used for other airplane types.
