CS 29.1397 Colour specifications

ED Decision 2003/16/RM

Each position light colour must have the applicable International Commission on Illumination chromaticity co-ordinates as follows:

(a)Ā Ā Ā Ā  Aviation Red:

ā€˜y’ is not greater than 0.335; and

ā€˜z’ is not greater than 0.002.

(b)Ā Ā Ā Ā  Aviation green:

ā€˜x’ is not greater than 0.440–0.320y;

ā€˜x’ is not greater than y–0.170; and

ā€˜y’ is not less than 0.390–0.170x.

(c)Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Aviation white:

ā€˜x’ is not less than 0.300 and not greater than 0.540;

ā€˜y’ is not less than ā€˜x–0.040’ or ā€˜yo–0.010’, whichever is the smaller; and

ā€˜y’ is not greater than ā€˜x+0.020’ nor ā€˜0.636–0.400x’.

Where ā€˜yo’ is the ā€˜y’ co-ordinate of the Planckian radiator for the value of ā€˜x’ considered.
